Earls Court: This is the venue which has been selected for the volleyball competition will be held in the London Olympic 2012. Earls Court, has the capacity of 18,000 spectators. This was opened in 1937. Earls Court located in west London, close to the Victoria and Albert, Science and Natural History Museums.
ExCeL London will accommodate the events: boxing, fencing, judo, table tennis, taekwondo, weightlifting, wrestling, boccia, paralympic table tennis, paralympic judo, paralympic powerlifting, volleyball (sitting), and wheelchair fencing.
Greenwich Park is the venue which will be hosting equestrian events – jumping, dressage and eventing, paralympic equestrian – and also the modern pentathlon events for the London Olympics Games 2012. Greenwich Park is a venue which is 579 years old and is a World HeritageSite since 1997.
Horse Guards Parade is a venue with is servicing the royal crown since 1745 getting its name from the soldiers who have protected the monarch since 1660. This venue will be hosting beach volleyball competition in the London Olympic 2012, for the crowd of 15,000 people.
Hyde Park will host the triathlon and marathon swimming during London Olympic 2012.
Lord's Cricket Ground is the home for cricket for last 198 years. Archery will take central stage in this venue during the London Olympic 2012. Comparatively little preparation will be needed to get this world-class 6,500-seater venue ready for the Games.
North Greenwich Arena During the London Olympic 2012, the North Greenwich Arena will host artistic gymnastics, trampoline gymnastics and the basketball finals. The Arena can house 20,000 spectators for the basketball finals and 16,500 for the gymnastics.
The Royal Artillery Barracks in South East London will be the venue for pistol and rifle shooting.
Wembley Arena, will host the badminton and rhythmic gymnastics events for the London 2012 Olympics.
Wembley Stadium is located in the North West London and can accommodate 90,000 spectators to enjoy football at the London 2012 Olympic Games. Wembley Stadium has a sliding roof to protect against bad weather and make the spectator feel the game at its best.
Wimbledon has been hosting the Wimbledon tennis tournament since 1877. This venue is obvious for the tennis competition during the London Olympic games 2012.
Olympic Park and Village The Olympic Park which his located in East London consists of nine Olympic venues, plus the Olympic Village. Other than the Olympic Stadium, there are Aquatics Centre, Basketball Arena, BMX Circuit, Eton Manor, Handball Arena, HockeyCentre, the Velodrome and the Water Polo Arena.
